SH Submersible Drainage Pump

Description

TUSSU®SH Series submersible drainage pump is engineered as a high-performance, cost-effective equivalent to the Tsurumi LH model. It fully matches the Tsurumi LH series in hydraulic performance, delivering identical flow rates, high-head capabilities, and reliability under heavy-duty dewatering conditions. Please note that while the SH series serves as a seamless functional and performance drop-in replacement, the internal spare parts are not interchangeable with Tsurumi. It offers an ideal solution for projects looking to optimize procurement costs without compromising on operational efficiency.

Material

To maximize service life in harsh drainage conditions, the SH series is built with premium wear-resistant materials:

  • Impeller & Volute: High-chrome alloy or hardened cast iron to withstand sand, silt, and abrasive slurry.
  • Shaft & Hardware: High-tensile stainless steel (SS304/SS316 options) to prevent corrosion.
  • Mechanical Seals: Premium double silicon carbide (SiC-SiC) mechanical seals, offering superior hardness and sealing reliability compared to standard carboceramic seals.Application & Installation
More Product Details

The design is almost the same as Tsurumi LH model. The body of motor and pump is made of rigid cast iron forlong-lasting durability.
Greatly increased maximum submersion depth due to mechanical seal resistant to high pressure.
Hydraulic part under the motor and motor cooled by the pumped water for safe operation also with the pump only partially immersed.
The hardness of this material is at least 58 HR, it’s more durable than other materials(ductile iron).

FAQ:

Q1: What are the standard frequency and voltage options for the SH series submersible pumps?

A: Our SH series pumps are designed to high international standards and natively support both 50Hz (2850 rpm) and 60Hz (3450 rpm) power systems. Standard voltage configurations include three-phase 380V/415V for 50Hz markets and 230V/440V/460V for 60Hz markets. Custom voltages can also be engineered to match your local grid requirements.

Q2: How do I choose between the 50Hz and 60Hz performance curves for my project?

A: Operating a pump at 60Hz increases the motor speed by approximately 20%, which significantly boosts both the flow rate (capacity) and head compared to 50Hz operation. Please refer to our official performance curve sheets for exact data points:For example, the SH430 model delivers a rated head of 70m at 50Hz, but reaches up to 75m at 60Hz.Always ensure your onsite motor power (kW/HP) matches the specific frequency curve to prevent motor overloading.

Q3: What is the maximum solid size the SH series pump can handle?

A: The solid-handling capability depends entirely on the impeller passage clearance of the specific model:SH422, SH430, SH637, SH645: Features a 6 mm passage, ideal for clean water, drainage with light grit, or treated wastewater.

SH622, SH630: Features a 15 mm passage for medium-duty drainage.

SH837, SH845: Features a generous 20 mm passage, perfectly suited for heavy-duty industrial drainage, construction dewatering, and stormwater management containing larger suspended solids.

Q4: Can the SH series pump run continuously if it is not fully submerged?

A: Submersible drainage pumps rely heavily on the surrounding liquid for motor cooling. While the SH series features high-efficiency motor insulation, we strictly recommend keeping the liquid level above the motor housing during continuous $24/7$ operations. For semi-submerged or intermittent dry-run conditions, please consult our technical team to equip thermal overloads or automatic float switch controls.

Q5: What are the standard discharge/outlet connections available?

A: The SH series offers standard international flange connections matching the outlet sizes: 100 mm (4″), 150 mm (6″), and 200 mm (8″). We can supply PN10/PN16, ANSI, or JIS standard flange configurations to ensure hassle-free bolt-on installation with your existing pipeline infrastructure.

Q6: The pump is running, but the discharge flow or head is lower than the performance curve. What should I check?

A: A drop in performance is typically caused by three common factors:

  • Incorrect Rotation: If the three-phase power lines are reversed, the impeller will rotate backwards. Simply swap any two of the incoming power phases to correct the rotation.
  • Improper Frequency Matching: Ensure a 50Hz rated pump isn’t being improperly matched against 60Hz system expectations without checking the corresponding curve.
  • Wear Clearance: Over time, pumping abrasive drainage can widen the clearance between the impeller and the wear plate. Adjusting or replacing the wear components will restore original efficiency.

Q7: What is the typical lead time for standard SH pumps and spare parts?

A: For standard configurations, we maintain a robust inventory of components, allowing us to assemble, test, and ship within 2 to 3 weeks. Critical wear parts (impellers, casings, shafts, seals) are always in stock and can be dispatched via express air freight within 3-5 business days to minimize your project downtime.
